June is Bike Month in Lake Tahoe!
Bike to Work Month promotes a healthy, environmentally-friendly commute to work, school, and play gets basin residents out of their cars, and reduces traffic. Encouraging bicycling is good for your business! Employees and patrons arrive in a good mood, parking needs are reduced, and our community is a friendly place with many people out on bikes.

Tahoe Bike Challenge
In 2009 over 450 Lake Tahoe and Truckee residents rode their bikes to work during Bike to Work, School & Play Week, logging more than 23,000 miles!  Commuters, students, and visitors were all encouraged to participate in the Challenge.  Click the links below for more details on the 2010 Challenge.

tahoebikeday170.jpgJune 5, 2010 is Tahoe Bike Day Parade & Festival
It’s Tahoe Bike Day! And, we’ll be celebrating with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a cavalcade bicycle parade that loops around downtown and ends at Ski Run Marina for a Festival. The festival will have exhibits, demonstrations, live music, and food and beverages that you would expect at a celebration. Come share your products/services with thousands of cyclists that will be in town for America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride and the residents who want to learn more about how to optimize their Tahoe lifestyle.
