The Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition invites submissions for the 2008 Tahoe Bike Photo Contest. This is an open invitation for anyone interested in submitting photographs depicting Lake Tahoe as a premier bicycling destination – showing the Lake’s beauty, and cycling’s adventure and energy. There are four competitive categories. Entrants may submit photographs in each category.

Destination
Bicycling with the Lake in sight. ( A shot like you would see in a travel/adventure/lifestyle magazine)
Recreation
Family and friends enjoying bicycling in Tahoe together on the bike path, trail, shopping or at the beach.
Sport Adventure
Riding off the bike path and enjoying the outdoors. (examples: bike camping, x-country, freeride, etc.)
Competitive
Road or mountain bike racing.

Winning photographers will be credited and invited to attend a winner’s ceremony during the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Film Festival in September.

Guidelines
The following gives you additional information as you consider your entries.

When viewing photographs, judges look for: impact, creativity, composition, center of interest, lighting, color balance, and sharpness. If a photo captures all but is not sharp, it loses all these elements – above all the photograph must be sharp.

Resolution for electronic files must be no less than 300 dpi and saved in either; JPEG, PDF, or GIF format.
