The Lake Tahoe Bicycle Film Festival
The film festival is a community event to “celebrate cycling
and the spirit that makes us ride”. It features cycling films,
a raffle for valuable prizes, and benefits the
Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition.
The Film Festival is produced
in conjunction with the Tour de Tahoe bike ride –
an organized ride around the Lake on Sunday, September 9, 2007. This
ride, in its eight consecutive year, draws over 1,200 riders from around
the country to enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe and to test their personal
goals.
Featured Films: (to date)
Joy Ride. An animated short
about the spirit of the ride.
SingleTrack Minds. Mountain biking in Marin’s Mt Tamalpais
and the issues of trail use.
The Tour Baby. A behind the scenes
look at the Tour de France.
Klunkerz. A documented look at the beginning of mountain biking
in Marin and the pioneers who help make it what it is today. (Gary Fisher,
Joe Breeze, Charlie Cunningham, Otis Guy and others)
TBA. A new school look at mountain biking today.
Raffle -- Intermission
A fundraising raffle for valuable prizes will be awarded during intermission.
All raffle proceeds benefit the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition. Raffle
tickets may be purchased on Saturday, September 8, at Tahoe Sports LTD
during the Tour de Tahoe bike ride registration from 8:00AM –
5:00PM, and at the Film Festival. Cost of raffle tickets are: $5 for
one, $10 for three, and $20 for 10 tickets.
Prizes include: a $1,200 full
suspension, Specialized, cross-county mountain bike, air pump, helmet,
gift certificate from Pearl Izumi and others to be announced.

The admission ticket fee is a $10 donation. Admission donations of a
greater value are welcome.
Tickets may be purchased at the door –
seating is limited and on a first come basis.

100% of all event proceeds donated to the Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition
- a nonprofit citizen advocacy group dedicated to building a bicycle
friendly Lake Tahoe region. Monies will help advance the Coalition’s
mission in general and specifically to build a bicycle information portal
to help build
